First crop of grapes on its way to Soho

Harvest has begun and City Winery is awaiting our first batch of grapes on September 15. For our inaugural crush we will receive carefully selected, quality crops of Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Zinfandel, all sourced from renowned vineyards and transported with stringent standards of quality control from California, Oregon and New York State.

(To learn more about each of City Winery's distinct vineyards,
please visit: http://www.citywinery.com/barrelowners/vineyards.html).

We have individual barrels available for private ownership (each barrel yields 250 bottles of wine) and we offer many different winemaking classes. Though demand has been high for our programs a limited number of Barrel ownerships remain. Harvest will last through the end of October, so there is still time for wine lovers to participate in the entire winemaking process-from custom grape crushing to personally branded wine bottling. Join the City Winery family of winemakers today.

Three ways to make your own barrel:
Barrel Ownership: An ideal arrangement for an individual, couple or small group of friends; Barrel Ownership is a personalized winemaking service that allows you to participate hands-on in all stages of the process. Ownership also includes four annual winemaker classes in which members participate in comparative tasting of their own wine and others' private labels.

Premier Winemaker: Limited to just 40 members; Premier Membership includes the program of Barrel Ownership plus on-going access to the private tasting room, monthly winemaker dinners, rights to rent the facility at a discount and a private storage locker. Corporate Gift: A corporate membership is a comprehensive and selective service for company gift giving. The entire winemaking process-grape selection, oversight, private labeling, packaging and distribution-is handled in-house by City Winery's expert staff, and corporate members also receive a discount on the space for private parties, meetings and off-site events.

Included in all barrel ownership programs is the benefit of City Winery's exclusive concierge service, offering first access to musical performances and special events held in the venue, as well as discounts to select functions. City Winery barrel owners are part of a luxury, urban wine market, where they can consult, taste and trade wine with other members, both in person and online as part of the community of passionate wine sophisticates that City Winery has grown to be.

In addition to the Barrel program, we also offer the "Case Study" winemaking class where wine enthusiasts under the direction of City Winery's master winemaker David Lecomte learn the art of vinification in a five part series. At the end of the series, each student gets a case of wine from the barrel that they helped make.
